Anathoth Community Farm

Anathoth Community Farm is a center for the study and practice of non violence, community, and sustainable living. The farm is located 90 minutes northeast of Minneapolis/St Paul, MN. We are building an eco-village from the ground up and offer it as an example of how to live both simply and abundantly. Our main garden is about 2 acres and we have been farming it for 23 years. Our practices are organic but we are not certified and probably will not go through the process to do so. There is too much green washing going on even in organic farming just to ride the politically correct wave and get the better price. What we can provide for woofers is room (in either a mobile home by the garden or two available rooms in our house) and board, unlimited long distance and high speed internet (including wifi), plenty of recreational opportunities as we are located in a vacation lakes area, and a hands on education in all forms of sustainable living. What we need from you is 40 hours a week in labor spread over 7 days at your discretion. Gardening will be the biggest part of what you do. You may also be doing maintenance or construction projects or office work related to a variety of issues that we work on.
